IPSI Scholarships:
A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available to students from conflict and post-conflict countries.  In order to apply for a scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be between the ages of 22-35;
  • Have lived for a significant period of your life in a conflict and/or post-conflict country;
  • Actively be working on issues of peace and security in a conflict or post-conflict country;
  • Demonstrate why you are uniquely suited to utilize IPSI’s trainings to foster peace and security in your country/region;
  • Be willing to “pay” for the Bologna Symposium through community organizing, as explained below.

Measurable Results of Fully-Funded Students: IPSI knows that results cannot be produced top-down by professionals alone, but are maximized by a concerted joint effort between the recipients and trainers.  If selected for a scholarship, for each week of training you are asked to commit to sharing your newly acquired knowledge and skills for 10 hours in order to empower people in your home community (40 hours for the month-long symposium).  IPSI will provide you with the materials and support necessary to carry-out this commitment, as well as track your progress.

The ripple effects of this payment system in conflict and post-conflict societies are evident:

01 Participant(s)  X  4 Weeks of Training        =          40 hours of Community Impact
10 Participant(s)  X  4 Weeks of Training        =          400 hours of Community Impact
20 Participant(s)  X  4 Weeks of Training        =          800 hours of Community Impact
